History of Pfizer:

Pfizer was founded by Charles Pfizer and his cousin named Charles Erhart as a chemical company in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. As a result of James Curie's work in Pfizer, Pfizer was able to produce citric acid in large quantities without the need for citrus fruits.

The fermentation technique used in the production process of Citric-acid in 1942 was used in the production of high amount of penicillin, which is known as the miraculous drug of the world. Pfizer opened to the public.

In 1950 Terramycin appeared as a Pfizer drug on the market. Pfizer's sales staff were working to introduce physicians to Pfizer's products, to provide them with information, and to ensure that there are sufficient products at wholesale points.

In 1951, Pfizer opened up the world and established its first businesses in the UK, Cuba, Mexico and India.

In 1952, Agricultural Department was established. (The name was later changed to the Department of Animal Health.)

When Pfizer was merged with Warner - Lambert in 2000, the new Pfizer became the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in the world.

In 2003, Pfizer became the world's largest research-development-based pharmaceutical company through its merger with Pharmacia.

In 2009, Pfizer acquired Wyeth. Together with the merger, Pfizer has become stronger in terms of R & D and production capacity, becoming the world's number one biopharmaceutical company.
